Finally! It took a while, and I’ve been strong, but enough is enough. And I need to share all the cuteness that is Ollie, also known as the Little Guy, or Olliebol. He’s been with us for almost two months now, without having a spot on my blog. How is that even possible, you ask? Well, I don’t know. I kinda didn’t want you guys to go crazy with me. Prepare yourselves for an overload of cuteness!
This is one of the first pictures I took of the puppy, when we just got him. At that time we hadn’t really decided on a name yet. I was stuck between two, Huckleberry Finn (aka Finn) and Oliver Twist. We went with Oliver, but since it is quite a long name to call out, we usually go with Ollie.
I took this one the same day. He was so small! I didn’t even realise back then, but two months later he’s grown so much! He’s still a little puppy of course, and he’ll never really be a big dog, but still.
Taking him for his first walk, and his face afterwards. He was exhausted! So many new things, smells, sounds. He slept for hours afterwards, bundled up in his little blanket.
Some of you might be surprised. Euhm, Stephanie. I’m pretty sure that’s not a pug, or even a frenchie. Nope, he’s not. Ollie is a Shih-tzu, a little lion. It’s a originally a breed that originated in Tibet and was very popular at Chinese court. They are sweet tempered, lively but lazy at the same time. The perfect kind of dog if you want a puppy to keep you company.
Many will know of the breed, the little dogs with hair that grows and grows till it reaches the ground. Not my intention, just so you know. I’m gonna go to a groomer’s regularly, to keep his coat from growing to long. I think he looks so cute with the short hair! He almost looks like a little cuddly teddybear. ^^
It is crucial though that they are trained properly from an early age, so I do intend on taking him to a puppy school. I haven’t yet decided where I want to take him, so if any of you maybe have some good options, let me know?
Do you guys like to see updates on the little guy on my blog, or has this post satiated your want for seeing puppy pictures? Let me know, and I will comply to y’all wishes. 😉
Oh, the picture above, btw? That’s Ollie and his new friend Kyra. As for size, Kyra is a Great Dane and she can put her front paws up on my shoulders without trouble. It does make Olliebol look tiny, doesn’t it? ^^
Anyway, there you go. Ollie, our little Shih-tzu puppy. He’s awesome. ^^
Have a good weekend!
